Musical Notes ♫♬ (Archive)

This opening prayer for Lent has been especially touching for me this Lenten season.  There is great comfort in the phrase "quiet release of all that is false and fleeting".  May the suggested hymns for meditation this week help you to find that quiet release.

Our Hymns for this week:

March 4:  Come, Follow Me, the Savior Spake #799

Monday, March 5:  My God, How Wonderful Thou Art #863

Tuesday, March 6:  Give Thanks for Saints #428

Wednesday, March 7:  O, Happy Day When We Shall Stand #441

Thursday, March 8:  O Christ, Your Heart, Compassionate #722

Friday, March 9:  Lord Jesus, Think on Me #599

Saturday, March 10:  Before You, Lord, We Bow #893

  • Jeremiah 29:24-32

28For he has actually sent to us in Babylon, saying, "It will be a long time; build houses and live in them, and plant gardens and eat what they produce." 29The priest Zephaniah read this letter in the hearing of the prophet Jeremiah.
