Musical Notes ♫♬ (Archive)

Pastor Chris was telling me that it's incredible to watch a room full of teens who are all different shapes, sizes, colors, backgrounds, styles, personalities.......and then through the power of music they unite and sing at the top of their lungs to the Glory of God.

In some of my first Notes From The Bench I talked about why we sing during service and the single biggest reason is that singing breaks down barriers and unites us as one in Christ.  Nothing else in that moment matters except that you are singing to God.  The music that we sing and the messages in the songs are really just the beginning of the message of the amazing things that God does for us and the amazing things that are happening at GA, at Pinecrest and when we walk out the front doors of the church.  Music is a powerful tool and a gift.
So question for you:  What music moves you?  What hymns inspire you?  Please let me know because this summer we will be planning our worship service music around YOUR favorite hymns.  Drop me an email or catch me after service to let me know.

  • Malachi 4:1-6

5Lo, I will send you the prophet Elijah before the great and terrible day of the LORD comes. 6He will turn the hearts of parents to their children and the hearts of children to their parents, so that I will not come and strike the land with a curse.
