Recently at GA

For the last few years, a group of folks from GA, plus friends, have gone into the public square offering ashes and prayer for every single person willing to receive them.  We’ve had the most amazing experiences witnessing God at work in this holy outreach.  Ash Wednesday is Feb. 10th.  To prepare to continue to be “church in the square,” we are encouraging people to participate in this time of prayer and blessing.  Deacon John Ogren will be offering a conversation and training on Jan. 31 following the 2nd service.  Please consider volunteering on Feb. 10 as part of the team bearing witness to the love of Jesus for the sake of the world.  Even if you’re unsure you want to try this, come to the conversation with Deacon John, Camille, Lulu and Pastor Chris.

ELCA Anti-Racism Pledge

As church we are called to confess the sin of racism, condemn the ideology of white supremacy and strive for racial justice and peace. Beyond statements and prayers, we are also called to act and respond to injustices. We invite you to commit to anti-racist actions at ELCA.org/RacialJusticePledge.
