He was on the cover of New York Magazine hailed as “New York’s undiscovered gem.”
Pierce has a track in the acclaimed HBO Show “ The Wire” and the Academy award winning Director Jim Sheridan said that a Turner performance in New York inspired him to make his classic “My Left Foot.” Sheridan said “Of all the great artistic and tough Norman stock coming out of Ireland’s South East, Pierce Turner is probably the finest.”
The list of positive reviews go on, but all that is important really is to know that this is a great performer with such great songs that Liam Fay with the Sunday Times, said “He has created what I confidently believe to be the finest body of work in contemporary Irish music, bar none.”
