casseroleLet's join together to celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit!  Pentecost, a feast day in the church, used to be as big of a celebration as Easter -- we want to try and bring that back!  his will be a great time to rejoice for the gift of the Spirit that sends us all out to be Christ in the world, for the sake of the world. Join us in church for a celebration with brass, bells, and choir, and after church for a pot-luck lunch. Please bring a dish that can be shared with those gathered. Let's make this a Pentecost to remember!

The service will include:

  • scripture passages and prayer petitions offered in multiple languages
  • a guest trombone player — Angela Dean (Zach’s sister)
  • Bells
  • Choir
  • and potluck lunch after service.

Collecting Food for the Hungry and Homeless

As the weather begins to change, life for those who are hungry and homeless becomes even more difficult. Please bring non-perishable food items and place them in the baskets at the sanctuary entrance. The food we collect will be taken to the food pantry at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lower Eastside.

Healing Services

We offer brief healing services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays each month. These are powerful times of anointing and prayer. They are held in the sanctuary after the 11 AM service.

Daily Bible Verse

  • Deuteronomy 17:14-20

It shall remain with him and he shall read in it all the days of his life, so that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, diligently observing all the words of this law and these statutes, neither exalting himself above other members of the community nor turning aside from the commandment, either to the right or to the left, so that he and his descendants may reign long over his kingdom in Israel.
