Christians across the globe will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the start of the Protestant Reformation this fall. In the Metropolitan New York Synod, we are looking to the next 500 years and how we will move into a new reformation with faith, not fear. Please join us as we mark this historic moment: Nov. 1, The Cathedral of Saint John Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Ave., NYC. Doors open to the public at 5:30. RSVP is required: mnys.org/November1

ELCA Anti-Racism Pledge

As church we are called to confess the sin of racism, condemn the ideology of white supremacy and strive for racial justice and peace. Beyond statements and prayers, we are also called to act and respond to injustices. We invite you to commit to anti-racist actions at ELCA.org/RacialJusticePledge.

Daily Bible Verse

  • 2 Corinthians 6:1-13

1As we work together with him, we urge you also not to accept the grace of God in vain. 2For he says, "At an acceptable time I have listened to you, and on a day of salvation I have helped you."
