We have seen the devastating images of Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria struck the island.  Millions of our sisters and brothers are suffering (as in Dominica and other places as well).  Pastor Chris has a colleague living and serving in Dorado, just west of San Juan.  They are communicating with each other and beginning to plan to have a group of GA volunteers head to Puerto Rico to help with rebuilding in early 2018.  More details will follow.  In the meantime we all can provide immediate assistance: with financial contributions made through ELCA Disaster Response (100% of donations go to the victims) - https://community.elca.org/ushurricanerelief

ELCA Anti-Racism Pledge

As church we are called to confess the sin of racism, condemn the ideology of white supremacy and strive for racial justice and peace. Beyond statements and prayers, we are also called to act and respond to injustices. We invite you to commit to anti-racist actions at ELCA.org/RacialJusticePledge.
