Join us for our annual congregational retreat, Mar 2-4 at Camp Koinonia. This is a great opportunity to get away for renewal of body and spirit. Koinonia is a Lutheran camp located near Port Jervis, NY (about 2 hours north west of NUC). We stay in a beautiful conference center that offers high quality semi-private rooms with private bath (just like a hotel room) and a large open common area with huge fireplace for program and free time.  Their lovely 1,200+ acres provide opportunities for hiking, ice skating, tubing, or simply rolling in the snow (hopefully there will be some).  Meals are provided and included in the price per person.  For more info on the camp:  Camp Koinonia, 165 Lakeview Drive, Highland Lake, NY 12743,

The deadline to register is 2/15.

Retreat Cost

$220 per person in single room

$175 per person in double room

$140 per person in triple room (limited triples)

$75 per child (5 to 12 years old)

Children under 5 are free.

Scholarships are available.  A list of items to bring will be given to those who register.  Transportation by train or car.  Car pool rides can be coordinated.  If you haven’t experienced this kind of retreat, please talk to Linda Mietlowski to sign up.  Deadline for commitment is Feb. 15.

Collecting Food for the Hungry and Homeless

As the weather begins to change, life for those who are hungry and homeless becomes even more difficult. Please bring non-perishable food items and place them in the baskets at the sanctuary entrance. The food we collect will be taken to the food pantry at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lower Eastside.

Healing Services

We offer brief healing services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays each month. These are powerful times of anointing and prayer. They are held in the sanctuary after the 11 AM service.
