Deacon John Ogren serves as chair of this synod committee: “Our goal is not to make our church color or culture blind, but to encourage us to be fully aware of our oneness in diversity! "BUILDING BRIDGES" - Is the theme for this year’s Synod Assembly, May 11th and 12th. In conjunction with and preparation for this event, the Multi-Cultural Committee is hosting "a celebration of diversity." We will gather and learn about our diverse synod through gifts of dance, song, musical performance, art and personal sharing. Bishop McCoid will be present for a portion of this day-long event. Please join us! New Hope Lutheran Church, 167-24 118th Street, Jamaica, Queens, NY 11434

Collecting Food for the Hungry and Homeless

As the weather begins to change, life for those who are hungry and homeless becomes even more difficult. Please bring non-perishable food items and place them in the baskets at the sanctuary entrance. The food we collect will be taken to the food pantry at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lower Eastside.

Healing Services

We offer brief healing services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays each month. These are powerful times of anointing and prayer. They are held in the sanctuary after the 11 AM service.

Daily Bible Verse

  • Colossians 1:15-23

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; for in him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers — all things have been created through him and for him. He himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
