Anyone can participate in all aspects of GA ministry without becoming a member.

We ask you to think about what joining means:

  1. God baptized us into a family; we are bound together in faith as the body of Christ.  Membership is a sign of that eternal connection in community.
  2. As you stand up front (with others) on June 2, you publicly proclaim your commitment to God’s work in and through this congregation.
  3. Other GA church members are strengthened and inspired by your public commitment and partnership.
  4. Lutheran congregations are led by its members.  Members are given the privilege of voice and vote at all congregational meetings as well as the opportunity to serve in elected office (Church Council).

At GA, there is excitement!  There is joy!   Please make a commitment to join this remarkable ministry, offering your God-given talents, prayers and resources.  Benefiting from the faithful witness spanning 153 years of those who have gone before us, this is our time to raise the name of God through word and deed, in and around this neighborhood and beyond.  Those joining will be asked to come forward at the 11 am service on June 2.  Together with the entire congregation, you will be asked to confess your faith with the Apostles’ Creed and make a promise to support this ministry. That’s all that is required. Thank you for being a significant part of this ministry, to the glory of God!
