On June 6 and 7, our Open Arms Preschool staff hosted a marvelous end of year celebration! The fellowship hall was full both mornings as families and friends gathered to watch their beloved child sing multiple songs and honor this important milestone in their student’s lives. Misa, our director, said to the parents, “When your child first came to the school we helped them with separation anxiety. Now at the end of the year, our teachers are experiencing separation anxiety!” The staff of Open Arms Preschool is of the highest caliber. We are so grateful for: Misa, Vicky, Sally, Mervat and Isabel who have offered a professional, high-spirited, joyful, creative and safe program for our students all year!!

A summer program will begin in a couple of weeks and go through July. We are expanding into an afternoon class for the first time in the Fall! God is abundantly blessing this holy and powerful ministry!!

Daily Bible Verse

11 November 2019

  • 2 Peter 1:16-21

20First of all you must understand this, that no prophecy of scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, 21because no prophecy ever came by human will, but men and women moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

Collecting Food for the Hungry and Homeless

As the weather begins to change, life for those who are hungry and homeless becomes even more difficult. Please bring non-perishable food items and place them in the baskets at the sanctuary entrance. The food we collect will be taken to the food pantry at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lower Eastside.

Healing Services

We offer brief healing services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays each month. These are powerful times of anointing and prayer. They are held in the sanctuary after the 11 AM service.
