Join us for the Saint Lucy’s Day (Santka Lucia) celebration on 12/8.

Santa Lucia is the church feast day dedicated to St. Lucy (observed Dec. 13).  It marks, together with Advent, the beginning of the Christmas season. It remains a tradition celebrated in Scandinavia, especially Sweden… and remains a tradition of GA which was founded by Swedes 150+ years ago. The celebration includes the procession of a young woman wearing a crown of candles carrying sweets.  During coffee hour, we sing the traditional Santa Lucia songs.

  • Romans 2:12-16

12All who have sinned apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. 13For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous in God's sight, but the doers of the law who will be justified.

Collecting Food for the Hungry and Homeless

As the weather begins to change, life for those who are hungry and homeless becomes even more difficult. Please bring non-perishable food items and place them in the baskets at the sanctuary entrance. The food we collect will be taken to the food pantry at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lower Eastside.

Healing Services

We offer brief healing services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays each month. These are powerful times of anointing and prayer. They are held in the sanctuary after the 11 AM service.
