What's Happening at GA

Amazon will now donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to GA when you shop at AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.com)

How does it work?

  • Once you choose GA (Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church in NEW YORK) as your charity, see below, you simply start your Amazon shopping experience from smile.amazon.com.  Remember, you must start from smile.amazon.com not the regular www.amazon.com!

How do I designate GA for AmazonSmile?

  • This is a one time process.
  • Login to smile.amazon.com with your Amazon account (or create an account if you do not already have one).
  • Look for "pick your own charitable organization" or something similar.  Then type in "Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church New York" (please be sure to include the "New York" as there are several other churches that will show that are not GA).

Collecting Food for the Hungry and Homeless

As the weather begins to change, life for those who are hungry and homeless becomes even more difficult. Please bring non-perishable food items and place them in the baskets at the sanctuary entrance. The food we collect will be taken to the food pantry at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lower Eastside.

Healing Services

We offer brief healing services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays each month. These are powerful times of anointing and prayer. They are held in the sanctuary after the 11 AM service.

Daily Bible Verse

  • Mark 10:32-34, 46-52

And they called the blind man, saying to him, "Take heart; get up, he is calling you." So throwing off his cloak, he sprang up and came to Jesus. Then Jesus said to him, "What do you want me to do for you?" The blind man said to him, "My teacher, let me see again." Jesus said to him, "Go; your faith has made you well." Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way.
