What's Happening at GA

Join us for the Saint Lucy’s Day (Santka Lucia) celebration.

Saint Lucy’s Day (Santka Lucia) is the church feast day dedicated to St. Lucy (observed Dec. 13). It marks, together with Advent, the beginning of the Christmas season. It remains a tradition celebrated in Scandinavia, especially Sweden. The celebration includes the procession of a young woman wearing a crown of candles carrying sweets. During coffee hour, we sing the traditional Santa Lucia songs. Afterward, Zach will lead us in our favorite Christmas hymns. Come enjoy the food and festivities at coffee hour!

Collecting Food for the Hungry and Homeless

As the weather begins to change, life for those who are hungry and homeless becomes even more difficult. Please bring non-perishable food items and place them in the baskets at the sanctuary entrance. The food we collect will be taken to the food pantry at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lower Eastside.

Healing Services

We offer brief healing services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays each month. These are powerful times of anointing and prayer. They are held in the sanctuary after the 11 AM service.

Daily Bible Verse

  • Colossians 1:15-23

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; for in him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers — all things have been created through him and for him. He himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
