What's Happening at GA

Blessing our home is another way to bless and thank God for the gift of a home while engaging and honoring the ways we practice our faith in house: chores and hobbies, cooking and eating, ways of relaxing, relationships within the household and beyond it, caring for our bodies, connecting with the creation. Early this Epiphany season, gather with your friends and family members and use the brief order provided at the back of the church.

You are encouraged to use the chalk included to add a visual blessing around the main door of your home. 20 + CMB + 19. The numbers change with each new year. The three letters stand for either the ancient Latin blessing Christe mansionem benedicat, which means, “Christ, bless this house,” or the legendary names of the magi (Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasar). Handouts are available at the back of the church.

Collecting Food for the Hungry and Homeless

As the weather begins to change, life for those who are hungry and homeless becomes even more difficult. Please bring non-perishable food items and place them in the baskets at the sanctuary entrance. The food we collect will be taken to the food pantry at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lower Eastside.

Healing Services

We offer brief healing services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays each month. These are powerful times of anointing and prayer. They are held in the sanctuary after the 11 AM service.
