What's Happening at GA

As we enter into another year together, we are introducing a year-long stewardship effort called, “Walking in Love.”  We want all of us to consider how we are inspired by God to steward God’s abundance in this congregation and beyond. We all have many gifts and want to offer them to God, whether spiritual, financial, social, or any other. With that in mind we want to offer to God our prayers of thanksgiving and concern, financial gifts, and acts of loving service. All these support the ministry of the church. We ask that you take a note card in the pew and respond to the question below. Feel free to also add any prayer concerns as well. During the collection of the offering please put these in the offering plate. A few of these prayers or statements may be used as part of our Offertory Prayer.

Daily Bible Verse

27 May 2019

  • 1 Chronicles 12:16-22

16Some Benjaminites and Judahites came to the stronghold to David. 17David went out to meet them and said to them, "If you have come to me in friendship, to help me, then my heart will be knit to you; but if you have come to betray me to my adversaries, though my hands have done no wrong, then may the God of our ancestors see and give judgment."

Collecting Food for the Hungry and Homeless

As the weather begins to change, life for those who are hungry and homeless becomes even more difficult. Please bring non-perishable food items and place them in the baskets at the sanctuary entrance. The food we collect will be taken to the food pantry at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lower Eastside.

Healing Services

We offer brief healing services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays each month. These are powerful times of anointing and prayer. They are held in the sanctuary after the 11 AM service.
