What's Happening at GA

Join us for the Saint Lucy’s Day (Santka Lucia) celebration on 12/18, immediately after church at about 12:30.

Santa Lucia is the church feast day dedicated to St. Lucy.  It marks, together with Advent, the beginning of the Christmas season. It remains a tradition celebrated in Scandinavia, especially Sweden… and remains a tradition of GA which was founded by Swedes 150+ years ago. The celebration includes the procession of a young woman wearing a crown of candles carrying sweets.  During coffee hour, we sing the traditional Santa Lucia songs.
