Welcome to Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church!

Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church is a Christian community dedicated to growing the personal faith of its members, strengthening the support and connection between its members and becoming a religious resource in its urban neighborhood surroundings.  GA thrives through a foundation of service to Christ and a commitment to spiritual development and outreach.

We have been a source of spiritual and community strength in the Gramercy Park area for almost 150 years.  We recently launched Open Arms Preschool - founded on the philosophy that play is a child's vehicle for learning.

We are within walking distance to many of Manhattan's east side neighborhoods including Kips Bay, Peter Cooper Village & Stuyvesant Town, the Lower East Side, and Murray Hill.  We are conveniently located to public transportation.

Please join us - Renewing Faith and Building Community.

Join us for Sunday worship.
All are welcome!

Collecting Food for the Hungry and Homeless

As the weather begins to change, life for those who are hungry and homeless becomes even more difficult. Please bring non-perishable food items and place them in the baskets at the sanctuary entrance. The food we collect will be taken to the food pantry at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lower Eastside.

Healing Services

We offer brief healing services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays each month. These are powerful times of anointing and prayer. They are held in the sanctuary after the 11 AM service.
